Use:
The gasket material of this paragraph has been tested and verified. It is approved for use in liquid chlorine, caustic soda, liquid oxygen and high purity pharmaceutical industry. 9900N is approved for use in the manufacturing industry of plasma components. Asbestos-free compression gasket 9900 is designed for use in situations where strong chemical corrosion is required. Available in white unpigmented gasket material like style 9900N. Both the 9900 and 9900N models (including the marked model) meet FDA requirements.
Asbestos-free compression gasket 9900 is approved for use as an acceptable gasket material for drying chlorine (liquid and gaseous) through the Chlorine Institute Test Protocol, as described in the Chlorine Institute Booklet No.95, 3rd Edition. In addition, Asbestos-free compression gasket 9900 is approved for use in caustic soda manufacturing equipment. Unlike ordinary fiberglass filled PTFE gaskets, the shape of the filler in Asbestos-free compression gasket 9900 prevents the capillary effect that causes corrosion on the flange surface.
Asbestos-free compression gasket 9900 has been independently tested and certified (BAM) and is approved for use in media such as liquid oxygen at pressures up to 585psi(40bar) and temperatures up to 392° F(200°C). Gaskets for oxygen may be supplied from distributor stock, but proper cleaning procedures must be followed before such gaskets can be installed.
Ingredients:
Asbestos-free compression gasket 9900 with due physical and educational performance, in pure PTFE resin uniformly mixed various shapes of inorganic filler. This gasket material is suitable for use with steel flanges. It does not present the cold flow problems associated with pure PTFE, nor does it present the hardness problems of certain other PTFE filled gaskets. This material is easy to cut and add
Work, after use from the flange also clean.

Note:
ASTM standard performance is measured at 1/16 inch thickness, but ASTM F38 is measured at 1/32 inch thickness. These properties are for general reference only and cannot be used as a basis for acceptance or rejection. The data listed in this table are within the normal range of product performance and should not be used to prepare technical specifications or solely as a basis for design.
* Used when nominal pressure is above Class300. Please consult the representative office.
