Expanded PTFE gasket material
Use:
JINTAI 9960 is an expanded PTFE gasket material designed for use in process piping and equipment in the chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage, and other general industries that require resistance to highly corrosive chemicals.
JINTAI 9960 is suitable for steel flanges and flanges with irregular surfaces. Style 9960 meets FDA requirements.
Specifications
Advantage:
1. Compressibility rate exceeds 60%
2. It can exert tight sealing performance in cast valves, filters and screens.
3. Compared with general filled PTFE materials, it can adapt to higher temperatures.
4. Excellent endurance performance
5. High level of torque holding capability
6. Can compensate for irregularities on the flange surface
7. Comply with Food and Drug Administration standards (FDA, United States)
8. Excellent gas sealing ability
9.Long service life
Element:
JINTAI 9960 is only made of pure PTFE resin. It is suitable for steel flanges and applications requiring high compression rate gaskets. JINTAI 9960 is also suitable for sealing flanges with irregular surfaces. This gasket does not suffer from the cold flow issues that occur with pure PTFE, or the hardness issues that occur with some other filled PTFE gaskets. It seals very well, is easy to cut, and removes cleanly from the flange after use.

Note:
The performance of the ASTM standard is measured based on a board thickness of 1/16 inches, but ASTM F38 is measured based on a board thickness of 1/32 inches. These properties can only be used as a general reference and cannot be used as a basis for acceptance or rejection. The data listed in this table are within the normal range of product performance. These data should not be used to compile technical specifications or used alone as a basis for design.

READ MOREPolytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) gaskets, as an indispensable high-performance sealing element in modern industry, have won wide recognition in the market for their excellent chemical stability, excellent physical properties and wide application fields. Among them, JINTAI 9960 expanded polytetrafluoroethylene gasket material, as a star product of Jiangsu Jintai Sealing Technology Co., Ltd., has shown extraordinary sealing effects in many industries such as chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage with its unique characteristics and wide application scenarios.
PTFE gaskets, referred to as PTFE gaskets, are sealing elements made of polytetrafluoroethylene resin by molding, turning or cutting. As a polymer compound, polytetrafluoroethylene has extremely low friction coefficient, excellent chemical corrosion resistance, non-stickiness and a wide operating temperature range (-80℃ to +260℃, some products can even withstand high temperatures of up to 300℃ for a short time). These characteristics enable PTFE gaskets to maintain stable sealing performance and long service life in extreme environments.
JINTAI 9960 expanded polytetrafluoroethylene gasket, on the basis of inheriting the basic characteristics of PTFE gasket, further improves its adaptability and sealing performance. Its expansion characteristics enable the gasket to better fit irregular or rough flange surfaces during installation, thereby achieving a tighter sealing effect. In addition, the gasket material meets FDA requirements, is non-toxic and harmless, and is widely used in the food and beverage industry with extremely high hygiene requirements.
Excellent corrosion resistance: PTFE gaskets are almost unaffected by all chemicals, whether strong acids, strong alkalis or various organic solvents, and cannot cause significant erosion to them. This feature makes JINTAI 9960 gaskets show extraordinary stability when handling highly corrosive chemicals, especially suitable for industries such as chemical, pulp and papermaking.
Wide temperature adaptability: JINTAI 9960 gaskets can maintain good physical properties in the extreme temperature range of -80℃ to +260℃, ensuring reliable sealing under different working conditions. In addition, its short-term high temperature resistance also makes it suitable for some special high temperature environments.
Excellent sealing performance: Under pressure and temperature changes, JINTAI 9960 gasket can still maintain a good sealing effect. Its unique expansion characteristics and high-density fiber structure enable the gasket to form uniform compression on the sealing surface, effectively preventing medium leakage.
Easy to install and use: Expanded PTFE material is easy to cut and can be mechanically stamped or manually cut into any shape of gasket, which is convenient for installation and use. At the same time, its conformability to molding also enables good sealing on rough or damaged flange surfaces.
Application areas
JINTAI 9960 expanded PTFE gaskets are widely used in the following fields:
Chemical and petrochemical: In chemical equipment, reactors, storage tanks and pipeline flange connections, PTFE gaskets can effectively prevent chemical media leakage and are suitable for various corrosive working conditions such as strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, etc.
Pharmaceutical and food industries: Due to its non-toxicity, high hygiene level, and non-absorption of media, PTFE gaskets are crucial in the sealing of pharmaceutical production, food processing equipment and pipelines.
Energy and power industry: In high-temperature and high-pressure equipment such as power plants and nuclear power plants, PTFE gaskets can withstand high temperature and high pressure environments and provide good electrical insulation performance.
Mechanical manufacturing and aerospace: In high-precision and high-demand sealing occasions such as precision mechanical parts, valves, pumps, and aircraft engines, PTFE gaskets are favored for their high wear resistance, low friction coefficient, and low temperature resistance.
